Men’s mental health is often overlooked because of societal expectations that encourage men to be strong, tough, and unemotional. This stigma makes it difficult for many men to express their feelings or seek help when they need it most. Mental health struggles don’t always show up as sadness — signs can include irritability, anger, fatigue, or even a loss of interest in things that used to bring joy. Unfortunately, the consequences of staying silent can be devastating, with men accounting for nearly 75% of suicides globally. By raising awareness, we can create safe spaces where men feel comfortable talking about their struggles without fear of judgment. Normalizing these conversations is key to changing perceptions and encouraging more men to seek the help they deserve.
