Music Therapy helps neurodivergent children heal and grow by enhancing communication and emotional expression.
Music serves as a powerful healing tool for neurodivergent children, fostering communication, social interaction, and emotional expression. Engaging with percussion and string instruments not only enhances sensory integration but also provides a structured and comforting outlet, allowing children with autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities to connect with their emotions and the world around them. Research from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) indicates that music therapy significantly improves social skills and reduces anxiety in these children, highlighting the profound benefits of musical engagement in therapeutic settings. Through my work, I am not just teaching music; I am creating essential pathways for healing and growth.
